This reflector worked great on my senior photo shoots! My clients (and more importantly, their parents) loved them!
It's definitely MORE than I expected for the price! I personally like the silver for reflecting the sunlight for outdoor portraits if it's cloudy (golden is awesome for blond models), the translucent to defuse the sun through it if it's too sunny, and the white as a reflector for the flash/speedlight for indoors. Light and easy to pack.
p.s. Another possible usage is as a portable backdrop. I used the golden one for one of the attached portraits as a creative backdrop.
I bought this reflector to help with portraiture. It works really well. For some, it takes a bit to figure out how to "fold" it back up but it's pretty easy to get the hang of it!
I bought this to improve my portrait photography. Arrived on time. The reflector fits perfectly in the bag that came with it. It folds up easily and is easy to flip to each shade. Love the large size and the weight of it. Seems very well made, but I just received it today. We'll see how it holds up. I'm happy with this purchase.
This is a great and affordable product, useful to anyone shooting film or videos or adverts or magazine spreads. It's basically a big round ring that permits you to face it with any one of five different reflective surfaces. In any camera lighting scenario, indoors or out, the reflective surface can be held by a crew hand, or mounted on a tripod, to bounce extra light upon your subject, right where you need it. Simple, but so useful and handy. The metallic gold surface is especially useful in casting a flattering warm glow upon human skintones; the metallic silver surface is more hue-neutral. There is also a semi-transparent fine net-like surface that allows you to "break up" any harsh direct light (like a ray of sun) by diffusing it, easing bleach-out glare or harsh shadows. A pure white matte surface will reflect scene lighting only subtly, without the strength of the shiny metallic surfaces; A pure black surface will alternately occlude any direct light, or subtly attenuate brightness on any corner of your scene. Just a great, handy product. I think it folds up in a special way for storage, though I haven't tried it yet.
