My wife's dog is wild. Mini-Pom is 5lbs soaking wet. In spite of training he would see another dog or a squirrel and run away, and take off for hours. Neighbours hated him. Big collars are too big and too strong (eg for the retriever) so this is the PERFECT solution. It beeps to remind, the stimulus increases, and then it gives him a good little reminder not to stray. He knows is boundary well and doesn't test it any longer. FYI he'd run through it at setting 3 / 5 so I keep it at 5 / 5 but that's probably a 1 or 2 out of 5 on the "big collars" for "normal dogs" lol. I do love him. I hate to love him. But I do love him.
Collar works awesome. My dog actually stays in the yard now. The collar that came with our under ground fence didn’t shock hard enough to keep our stubborn lab in the yard. She would just run through it.
Collar is a little heavy so we only put it on her when she’s going outside.
Definitely great quality for the price. I have recommended it a few times already.
Easy to install - I attached to my backyard fence. Reliably keeps even my cat who loves to roam in my backyard. He will even stop chasing a squirrel once he gets to the perimeter. He loves the collar now because he knows it means he gets to go outside. Would highly recommend.
It actually works, I had my doubts but the cats stay in the yard now. It takes 1-2 weeks of training but they've gotten used to it.
We have a transmitter + 3 collars and it works great, the dogs probably don't agree haha
