I always have my iPad with me, but it's a pain to have to also have to pack an Apple keyboard for when I want to take meeting notes or work on documents away from home. This keyboard is lightweight, folds to a small size, and it is a full-sized keyboard with a useful row of function keys and a great feel for a touch typist. There is the option to backlight it at two light levels, three colors, for low-light situations. There is even a sweet drawstring travel pouch. This thing is small enough that there is no hesitation to throwing it into my bag even if I am not sure I will need it. I love my Apple Bluetooth keyboard, but this is the one I reach for now if I am heading out. My iPad has a case that can serve as a landscape-oriented easel, so all I have to do is set it up, unfold the keyboard (that turns it on, no buttons necessary), and start typing. There is no hesitation or Bluetooth pairing glitching or delays at all. Also, very important for a rapid touch typist, the feel of typing on this keyboard is great. I can go at great speed with no errors or sticking. The top function keys include handy ones like copy, cut, paste, select all, search, and others, a bonus. The keyboard can be used wirelessly or connected through a standard USB cable, and I have had no issues with having the charge run out while I am out using the keyboard wirelessly. If I ever do, I'll just plug an external battery into the USB port.
Day 1 with this keyboard and it's already functioning exactly as I'd hoped! The description was very accurate. I needed something that I could take with me on the go so I could do school writing assignments and work related things and this makes my tasks so much easier to do on my phone. The keyboard feels just like having a full size keyboard. The keys smooth surface and placement are comfortable for a long period of use and folded up it fits right in my little sling purse.
I really appreciate the attention to detail in this product down to the little rubber grippers that pop out for better grip on surfaces.
Fantastic product that I would reccomend to anyone who is on the go a lot whether for school or work and needs a reliable keyboard to get stuff done whenever, wherever!
This is great. The form factor is perfect for mobility. The folding is a great feature. The pouch is a nice touch but I do wish there was a silicone cover for this like there is for bk10. Switching between devices seems to take a bit which can be annoying when the bk10 has seamless switching. I like that it is sized like a laptop keyboard so I can type qwerty style.
Using this keyboard with Macmini. I use it with USB cable instead of Bluetooth (which is not compatible with Apple systems) and it works fine. I’ve purchased a portable monitor as well, so now I can take my system with me when i travel. Did not desire to purchase a laptop when I can use what I have. I like the keyboard- big enough for my hands, good key action, well constructed, and fits into the travel case that was designed with the Mac mini in mind. Had good reviews overall. Biggest ‘ding’ was related to the lighted keypad. Mine is fine, but I didn’t buy it for that feature; I rarely work in the dark, so light isn’t an issue. The keyboard can also be connected to different devices concurrently as well. Which is a feature I did not see associated with other keyboards.
I was skeptical at first, because I have bought other foldable keyboards that collapse in my lap, snap in half if they fall, the keys are so thin, there are gaps where it folds, and several other problems.
After doing hours of research, this one seemed like it fit the ticket; however, I was still skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised by this! It works extremely well in my lap, compatible with android, no "space" where it folds, the typing experience and the key feel is nice, and all around feels 'sturdy', meaning that the plastic is not paper-thin, and will not snap apart if it falls on the ground (< not tested!).
I was also skeptical due to the hinges and, to me, they seemed like they would interfere with typing and/or space bar. I am a left-handed person, if that matters. I have no obstruction when I type.
Plus, it came in a very nice pouch case to carry it/store in laptop bag. It is also very 'snappy' regarding both the bluetooth responsiveness and the solid-build foldability snapping.
Well worth the money, especially if it lasts for quite some time!
