We have been blessed with our son's kitty after he passed away from cancer on Christnas day. She is a Blue Russian, and a senior and has a very fine short coat. She huddles under our heater vent all day and at night she snuggles into a chair with this wonderful mat. This allows us to turn down the heat in the evening so we can sleep well. My 14 year old cat is enjoying the heating pad. It took him a few days to figure out how reliably warm and comfortable it is, and now I often find him choosing to relax on it rather than some of his old favorite haunts. I purchased the pad because he seems to be developing a little arthritis in his front legs. I can't tell exactly how much relief the pad provides, but the fact that he is choosing it reassures me that I am doing everything I can to maximize his comfort. So it's a win-win for everyone.

I wasn't sure about this at first because it's not as comfortable as I expected it to be. It's sort of a hard and plasticky material (polyester according to the description) and you can feel all of the wires in it, so I was worried my 17 year old cat wouldn't want to lay on it. But she loves it! I put a soft blanket on top and now she lays on it constantly. She has bad joints and I think the heat helps a lot. As long as I put it on the hottest setting it still gets comfortably warm with a blanket on top and so far it hasn't overheated. I haven't seen her look so relaxed and comfortable in a long time! And if she's happy, I'm happy! I was really impressed with their customer service as well, they really went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and that was really appreciated.

I bought this because it was so much cheaper than many of the other pet heating pads on Amazon, and wasn't sure if my kitty will like it. I'm happy to report my kitty loves it, and I'm very happy with both the construction and performance! It's made of a waterproof fabric cover that's easy to wipe clean. I slipped it inside an old T-shirt for easy clean ups and to protect the pad. It worked out perfectly!

I bought this just in time. It's been pretty chilly the past week and started snowing today. I washed all of the bedding in the cat house and added this heating pad. As per the directions, it's on low because I leave it on for them all night. It provides a warm spot for the cats within minutes...now getting them to actually use the nice warm cathouse? Priceless!
