I've ordered several of these types of fountains and this one has been the best so far. I don't use the suction cups, but they do work really well. I have this floating in my fish pond. Instead of free floating, I attached some fishing line & a small fishing weight to the bottom of the fountain. This let's it float 'freely' but not to the point of floating into shade. I love it & the sound of the fountain is soothing. Mine are in direct Florida sun and, unlike everything else down here, these hold up to the constant sun and don't fade or burn out quickly. Easy to clean filter too when needed.

We love this for our cats! They are so intrigued and it encourages them to drink more water which is important and great for their health. We put it in an old mixing bowl filled with water and it entertains them (and us) for hours. Our kids enjoy trying out the different fountain attachments. It is very sensitive to light and the fountain diminishes substantially in the shade. It only works when there is sun. We move it around the yard to help us water where needed since there can be overspray depending on the fixture and amount of sunlight. Totally worth the price paid!

I love this! Exactly what I was looking for! I made a homemade bird bath that was about 1 1/2 inches deep with water and although I have to add water often , it just completes it with a cute little fountain effect. Great for the small price I paid. To keep it from floating all over I just added a couple of rocks in the bottom to keep it stable. Needs full sun to work right. If it doesn’t seem to be working, stand to the side. It’s very sensitive to your shadow. Love it!

Been using for a couple weeks in a 24" wide Tecate Birdbath and have found overall performs well. Nice surprise was that it didn't need direct sunlight to run. I live in AZ and my fountain only gets direct sunlight from about 10am-4pm each day, but the fountain starts running by 7am and will keep running strong until 6-7pm. As long as they're not a lot of cloud cover it runs well. Nice to have the selection of fountain heads to select the right spray pattern. Auto shut off feature is great to have especially when changing water and cleaning bird bath.

Such fun! Installed on our balcony in an old cookie tin. Needs full sun to work properly, but then it burbles away happily. Very tough, too. Dropped it by mistake from several stories up (!), but we easily reassembled it and it works perfectly. Would buy it again.
