If you follow the instructions, the suction cups will stick properly. My lykoi is 7lbs and it holds her weight perfectly. This window seat is very sturdy. She was unsure of it at first but now, she's in it all the time. All she does is look for warmth. She is always on my lap and under the covers. This was the perfect product for her. Now she can sit in it and watch the leaves fall and birds outside. Thank you so much.
I'm working from home full time right now due to the pandemic. My cat is sweet, but was starting to drive me nuts always getting into my lap and on my computer while I was trying to work. I decided to get her this window bed to see if she would hang out in the office with me, but not disturb my work. It took her a day or two to get used to it, but now she never wants to get out. She loves sleeping/bird watching/neighbor spying while curled up in it. Very sturdy bed and suction cups. The two suction cups on the sides have a "tighten" feature and they are very secure, while the bottom one adds additional support. I had no issues hanging it or it feeling loose or falling down. Happy kitty, happy momma. :)
my boys Sir Nugget & LordEvilDarkness love these! I ended up getting two and staggered them. Note you have to have large windows or a patio door - so check that before you buy! I’ve had these up for 2&3 weeks no issues with it falling or getting loose -I double check a maybe twice a week. The boys run and jump in at full speed, leap from one to another, rough house and play or nap in them most of the day.The little cushion sheds a bit but you don’t really need it - if it becomes an issue I will just take it out as it’s not attached or anything.
My cat is really starting to love this thing! You know how cats are....she was way more interested in the massive box it came in with all the crinkly packing paper.
Anyway, I put her in there and pet her a few times to get her comfortable with it. She started jumping into it on her own, but just for a moment. Yesterday, she slept in there for 4 hours, got some food and water and hoped right back in for another 3 hour nap.
I did put out 14lb cat in there and she fit snugly but comfortably and it held firmly.
The suction cups are very strong and twist on to get a good grip on the glass.
Give your cat time to get used to it. It took mine a few weeks and she’s pretty easy.
Our cat likes to sit with his tail up, sphincter pressed firmly to the glass; my neighbor across the street's work-at-home office is a front row for his hammock shenanigans and she reports that he looks both comfortable and adorable.
I had a bit of trouble, at first, getting the suction cups to properly adhere - but customer service was prompt and helpful, solving the problem with very little effort. For his part, the cat has stopped sleeping on the back of my sofa cushions and can almost always be found in his hammock. That seems like a pretty good review.
